Memento Mori

Here’s some typography I did for a friend of mine named Brad. Brad asked me to design this to go along with his new Day of the Dead/Sugar Skull tattoo. So I did. The words loosely translate to “Remember your own mortality”. Brad got his skull tattoo on his left arm. He now reckons that there isn’t enough space on his arm to fit this type in. Silly Brad. Don’t you think Brad is silly? There’s plenty of room left.

You can see quite clearly in this silly picture of Brad playing the piano. Would all you fine folks be dears and please spam the hell out of this image with comments explaining to Brad that there’s clearly plenty of room left on the inside of his arm for this wonderful type to be tattooed? That would be just wonderful. I want my work immortalized, like right meow. Please and spank ya. :)

(This piece was done in Illustrator CS6, but you already knew that!)
